The quasiparticle excitations in the mixed state of Cd ₂Re ₂O ₇ have been studied by means of muon spin rotation/relaxation (µSR). The temperature dependence of the magnetic penetration depth (λ) is consistent with a nearly isotropic superconducting order parameter, although a slight discrepancy which is dependent on the details in the analysis may be present. This is also supported by the relatively weak field dependence of λ.
